Established in 1975, Summit
Corporation initially ventured into Heavy Engineering, Electricals and
Electronics, operating as Liaison and Promotional Agents. Prominent
representations in this sphere included Stewarts and Lloyds of India
Ltd., Kolkata (now a fully owned subsidiary of TISCO) and Ampi Agencies
Pvt. Ltd. Mumbai (exclusive indenting agents of more than 20 overseas
manufacturers in segments such as virgin metals, thermostatic bimetals,
ferro alloys, non-ferrous metals, thermoplastics, polymers,
pharmaceutical chemicals, graphite powder, aluminium ingots, etched and
formed aluminium foils etc.). Having been closely involved in these
activities, Summit was able to develop a deep entrenchment and
widespread business contacts in these sectors. Summit diversified into chemicals and allied fields in 1984, having made a maiden attempt with Gwalior Oil Mills. (subsequently known as GOM Industries Ltd., Mumbai) who had grown to be one of the reputed manufacturers and exporters of processed industrial oils of vegetable origin, range of synthetic resins, additives etc., consumed by industries such as coatings, paints, printing inks, varnishes and foundries. Our thrust and concentration in the chemical field gave us considerable exposure to many manufacturers in the allied field, on whose behalf Summit started operating as exclusive agents and stockists. Thus, Summit came to be recognised as one of the efficiently run and most credible marketing organisation. Summit is now associated with established manufacturers and importers of a wide range of raw materials used by these industries. A brief idea of the products that are handled by Summit, is provided herein. With its professional approach, streamlined operation and in depth business perception, not to mention the fully developed infrastructural facilities, Summit is known to be a progressive and result oriented marketing venture in the Southern Region, enjoying considerable good will and close rapport in a broad spectrum of industries. |
